Dear all,

I proposed in the discussion about ESFRI projects that you could contact your national delegate to the ESFRI Environmental Sciences Strategic Working Group, in order to explain use cases that highlight the potential relationship between GBIF and some of the ESFRI projects, namelly LifeWatch, but also other.

As Olaf mentioned, there is an open EC project call (INFRADEV-4) to explore synergies between ESFRI projects. It is important that these projects include biodiversity as a thematic area in some of the Work Packages, and the importance of that will be more easy to identify if your national delegate is informed about the potential of GBIF resources.

Additionally, if your country is participating in one of the ESFRI projects that may be a GBIF user/provider, or which outputs are relevant to be combined with biodiversity data, it would be also important to make contacts with those persons.

In attach I am sending the list of natinoal delegates to the ESFRI Environmental Sciences Group.
The list of the national delegates to the ESFRI Forum is available here: http://ec.europa.eu/research/infrastructures/pdf/esfri/membership/esfri_membership_november_2013.pdf#view=fit&pagemode=none

Best wishes,

Rui
