Dear Colleague,

*Not registered for the North Sea Open Science Conference?*

Here are some reasons why you should:

1. Get a *state-of-the-art overview* of the North Sea environment and
actively discuss its current and future management with all key actors!

2. The North Sea Open Science Conference 2016 is an *open science
conference*. We particularly envisage a high level of cross-disciplinarity,
targeting participants with different backgrounds and interests.
Environmental scientists (chemistry, sedimentology, physics, biology,…),
social scientists, policy makers, marine managers and industries,… all are
key to make this conference a success!
3. A combination of (flash) oral presentations, thematic poster walks, two
participatory sessions and several social events will ensure a
*trialogue *between
scientists, policy makers and other stakeholders. Together, we will
identify how research results presented in the thematic sessions can inform
science, management and policy strategies.
