Dear colleagues,
The Walloon Region just launched a monitoring campaign of Heracleum
mantegazzianum in order to have a better knowledge of the current
distribution of this plant and to be able to design an adequate control plan
during the following years.
Observations of that species may be digitised through a google map interface
at the following website: http://www.wallonie.be/berce To enter
observation, you just have to register, enter a name and a password and
answer to the email you'll receive afterwards.
Thank you very much in advance for your help. Cheers,
Etienne Branquart
PS: Although the system is not primarily designed to this purpose,
observations in Flanders or in Brussels may be also entered in it and will
be transferred to INBO and Brussels Environment.
