   Hallo allen,



Ik stuur onderstaande mail van de Europese administratie door met een
vragenlijst over beheer van invasieve exoten die je ook als burger kan
invullen. Europa is zonder meer onze belangrijkste kapstok voor de weinige
natuur die ons nog rest. Zelfs Vlaanderen zou nog een heel stuk armer zijn
zonder de Europese wetgeving (Vogel- en habitatrichtlijn, Kaderrichtlijn
Water). Onze beleidsmakers beperken zich tot het absolute minimum dat voor
Europa nodig is, niet meer, dikwijls zelfs minder … .

Het is dan ook in deze materie van belang dat Europa een krachtig signaal
krijgt van burgers en NGO’s. In het kort gaat het om wat we moeten doen met
dingen als Canadese Gans, Rosse Stekelstaart, Brugge-supporters of Grote
waternavel … .

Zaken die wij ook actief bestrijden in onze reservaten, waar veel energie
en geld naar toe gaat omdat de algemene trend nog altijd er één is van ‘wat
niet weet, niet deert’ en zo gaan er te weinig aandacht en middelen naar
toe.  Neem er even tijd voor, het lijkt mij belangrijk genoeg.
