These include: *Opportunities to contribute to review of First Order Drafts of two assessments:* - *External review of the First Order Drafts of the chapters of the IPBES Values Assessment (period 29 July - 22 September)*. Full announcement here . We warmly welcome you to also share your review with the Belgian IPBES National Focal Point (h.eggermont at biodiversity.be) so that your valuable input can also be considered in our Government feedback. Please do so by *15 September*, to allow for internal validation. - *External review of the First Order Drafts of the chapters of the IPBES Sustainable Use Assessment (period 27 August - 20 October). *Full announcement here . Please send it to us by *10 October*. *Call for nominations of experts to contribute to the scoping of two new, thematic assessments*: - Call for nomination of experts to assist with the scoping of a thematic assessment of the underlying causes of biodiversity loss and the determinants of transformative change, i.e. *IPBES Transformative Change Assessment*. Full announcement here . *Deadline for submitting applications is 15 October*. - Call for nominations of experts to assist in the scoping of a thematic assessment of the interlinkages between biodiversity, water, food and health, i.e. the so-called *IPBES Nexus Assessment*. Full announcement here . *Deadline for submitting applications is 15 October.* *Online Conferences*: - Opportunity to provide early input in the scoping of the IPBES Nexus Assessment, and the IPBES Transformative Change Assessment, through online conferences. Full announcement here . Tentative schedule: *30 September-2 October* (online conference for the Nexus Assessment) and *9-11 October* (online conference for the Transformative Change Assessment). These online conferences are a novelty to the scoping processes conducted by IPBES and are intended to give Governments and other stakeholders an opportunity to provide early input to the scoping process in order to increase the policy-relevance of the scoping reports. Each online conference will be held over three days and give an opportunity for participants to provide input regarding specific themes related to the respective assessment. More information on the online conferences will be made available shortly on the IPBES website. Participation in these online conferences will require participants to be registered users on the IPBES website. Registration for user accounts can be done on https://www.ipbes.net/user/register. The information collected during the online conferences will be provided to the groups of experts assisting with the scoping of the two assessments.
