[Invasive-species] DAISIE final conference

Dear all,

You probably heard about the DAISIE FP6 project dedicated to IAS inventories
in Europe. The database build during this project will become available to
the public in January 2008, including a lot of interesting information like
habitat preferences, introduction pathways, biodiversity impacts, etc.

Results of the DAISIE project will be presented during an open meeting in
Slovenia on 23rd January 2008. it will bring together decision-makers,
environmental managers, researchers within the field of biological invasions
and other interested parties to present and discuss the current situation
with biological invasions by invasive alien species, their impacts and
future perspectives for managing the risks in Europe.
