Dear Madam, Sir,

We would like to inform you that a call for applications for the selection
of members of the "Working Group on invasive alien species" has been
published online here:

http://ec.europa.eu/transparency/regexpert/index.cfm?do=calls.calls_for_app

The call concerns in particular the selection of:

·         individuals appointed in their personal capacity (‘Type A
members’);

·         organisations in the broad sense of the word, including
associations, Non-Governmental Organisations, trade unions, universities
and research institutes (‘Type C members’).



Nevertheless, participation in the aforementioned Working Group is also
open to any Member States' authorities, at national, regional or local
level (‘Type D members’) or any other public entities, such as third
countries' authorities, including candidate countries’ authorities, Union
bodies, offices or agencies and international organisations (‘Type E
members’).

Any authority or other body qualifying as type D or E members that are
interested in becoming a member, should communicate this by e-mail to
ENV-IAS at ec.europa.eu including the nomination of their representatives,
ensuring that the nominees can provide a high level of expertise.

You are welcome to inform anyone that you consider might be interested in
applying.

Please note that the closing date for applications is 31 October 2017.
